DIY BOATING
Ok, so we all agree that Loch Lomond is beautiful. Want to get out there, or onto your nearest bit of water, to mess about in a boat of your own but think it would be too expensive?
Think again; boats do not have to cost a fortune! If you can afford a couple of sheets of plywood and some resin you can easily build one for yourself. Here are some pictures showing the construction of a 'Herring Skiff' designed by Ira Einsteen. The plans are free and can be downloaded from -
